Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Overview
Action for Rural Women’s Empowerment (ARUWE) is a non-profit; Non-Governmental Organization
working with marginalized groups of people especially the women and girls.
ARUWE has received financing from Impact and Innovations Development Centre (IIDC) to scale
up the implementation of the Responsible Engaged and Loving (REAL) Fathers program which is an
evidence-based, community-led parenting mentoring program, aimed at reducing intimate partner
violence and violence against children while promoting early childhood development and learning
through play.
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support the Project Manager in reporting by
ensuring all activities’ data is collected and managed through the project M&E systems using the
appropriate tools. This position is based in the Central Region but with frequent travel to other
regions. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Head of Programs.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct data collection planning and coordinating data collection on both monitoring and success story documentations.
- Support capacity building initiatives, and facilitate the collection of quality data, database management and reporting.
- S/he will have to support program manager in providing well captured and/or analyzed data for reporting.
- S/he will work with Project Manager and officers in ensuring that standard operating procedures on M&E are adhered to.
- Coordinating all data collection by the respective actors of activities in line with relevant tools.
- Regularly review the Monitoring system data analysis and advise the Project manager on the progress performance.
- Provide training/technical advice related to quality data collection to other officers and mentors who are picking activity data.
- Provide technical field support to the officers and Trainers/mentors in the districts in relation to the use of monitoring tools.

Requirements
- Relevant academic training at bachelor’s degree level.
- At least 3 years’ proven hands-on experience in M&E work in a similar development project.
- Experience working with digital tools and/or software for data collection, management and analysis.
- Ability to coach and work with others.
